RIFAXIGYL M TABLET is a combination of Metronidazole and Rifaximin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the management of stomach and intestine infections causing diarrhoea.
RIFAXIGYL M TABLET should not be used if the patient has fever, blood in the stools, blockage of bowel, passed 8 or more unformed stools in last 24 hours. RIFAXIGYL M TABLET has to be used with caution in patients having liver problems, disease related to nervous system and patients undergoing dialysis.
RIFAXIGYL M TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Avoid the use of alcohol while taking RIFAXIGYL M TABLET and for 48 hours after finishing your course as it may cause undesirable effects.
RIFAXIGYL M TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age) and it should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking RIFAXIGYL M TABLET are headache, abdominal bloating and pain, constipation, diarrhoea, urgency to empty your bowels, nausea and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

Directions of Use
Take RIFAXIGYL M TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of RIFAXIGYL M TABLET for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
