SRFIL ENEMA contains Sucralfate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiulcer agents. It is used to manage hemorrhagic radiation proctitis (inflammation of the rectum due to radiotherapy in the lower part of the abdomen), solitary rectal ulcer syndrome (ulcers in the rectum) and diversion colitis.
Diversion colitis is an inflammation of the colon which can occur as a complication of ileostomy or colostomy. Before the management, your doctor may recommend you take relevant tests to understand your condition.
SRFIL ENEMA is not recommended for use in patients who have end-stage renal disease, and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus with hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). The safety and effectiveness of SRFIL ENEMA for use in pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and infants have not been established yet. Contact your doctor before using it. The most common side effect of SRFIL ENEMA is constipation. Contact your doctor if the symptoms worsen.
