SITCOM contains Euphorbia Prostrata extracts that belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-hemorrhoidal agents. It is used for the management of 1° or 2° internal haemorrhoids.
Haemorrhoids/piles are the lumps inside and around the anal area, formed due to the swelling of the veins in the anus or lower rectum. 1° haemorrhoids arise at three primary positions of the anal cushions (structures filled with blood present in the area which help in smooth passage of faeces out of the body) while as the 2° haemorrhoids arise in between the primary anal cushions. It is characterized by the symptoms such as itching or irritation, pain, discomfort, swelling, or bleeding in the anal area.
Euphorbia Prostrata works by shrinking blood vessels in the affected area which causes constriction of blood vessels thereby preventing bleeding from the affected site. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent which helps in reducing inflammation and relieving pain thereby promoting healing in affected individuals.
