SOTALAR contains Sotalol which belongs to the group of medicines called Beta-blockers. It is used to manage irregular heartbeats.
SOTALAR is not recommended for use in patients with asthma, kidney failure, low blood pressure, unmanageed heart failure, recent heart attack, very slow heartbeat. SOTALAR should be used with caution in patients with liver problems, diabetes, overactive thyroid. Consult your doctor before taking it.
SOTALAR is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is considered necessary. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
SOTALAR is not recommended for use in children. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.
The most common side effects of taking SOTALAR are headache, feeling tired, dizziness, weakness, cold fingers or toes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

Directions of Use
Take SOTALAR as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking it unless your doctor advice you to stop.
