SULBACIN TABLET is a combination of Ampicillin and Sulbactum which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the management of intra-abdominal infections, gynaecological infections, respiratory tract infections (Ex. sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis, pneumonias and bronchitis, urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections and gonorrhoea and surgical prophylaxis.

SULBACIN TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with rare hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, the Lapp-lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Contact your doctor before taking.

Before taking SULBACIN TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. SULBACIN TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless clearly necessary. Contact your doctor before taking.

SULBACIN TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breast feeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking.

SULBACIN TABLET should be used with caution in children. Contact our doctor before taking.

SULBACIN TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years or above). Contact your doctor before taking.

The most common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, rash and itching. Contact your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.


Uses:

  1. intra-abdominal infections, gynaecological infections
  2. upper respiratory tract infections including sinusitis, otitis media and tonsillitis, lower respiratory tract infections including bacterial pneumonias and bronchitis
  3. skin and soft tissue infections
  4. bone and joint infections
  5. urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis
  6. gonorrhoea and
  7. surgical prophylaxis

Directions of Use

Take this medicine as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine as whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and disease condition.
