Sunprotek SPF 50+ Gel is a sunscreen that is used to protect the skin from premature ageing, sun burn, melanoma (a type of skin cancer that begins in the cells that control the pigment in your skin) and UV induced suntan.

Sunprotek SPF 50+ Gel is also used to protect the skin from actinic keratosis (a rough, scaly patch on the skin that develops from long duration of sun exposure). It contains benzophenone-3, phospholipids, allantoin, vitamin E, aloe vera, and chamomile extract as active ingredients that have shielding properties against harmful sun rays.  

Benzophenone-3 is a sun blocking agent that shields the skin from UVA and UVB rays. Phospholipids aid in the restoration of the lipid barrier of injured skin by producing a coating that shields the skin's surface from the damage that causes inflammation. It has a high capacity for binding water and thus helps in hydration.

Allantoin softens and brightens the skin and is highly efficient in minimising sunburn irritation. It also has keratolytic action which helps to reduce suntan. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties and reduces the redness and damage caused by sunlight. It decreases free radicals which can harm cell structure.

Aloe vera has a soothing impact on the skin and aids in healing. It not only has antioxidant properties, but it also binds phospholipid molecules, which helps to maintain the protective lipid barrier. Chamomile extract relieves and calms the red irritation caused by burns and also assists in the healing and softening of damaged skin.

Apply Sunprotek SPF 50+ Gel at least 30 minutes before going outside in the sun or as directed by the doctor. Reapply every two hours. It is for external use only. Keep Sunprotek SPF 50+ Gel away from eyes.
