• Broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used for treating a wide range of serious bacterial infections
• Effective against respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, abdominal infections, and septicemia
• Piperacillin kills bacteria by stopping the formation of their protective cell wall
• Tazobactam prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes, enhancing the effect of Piperacillin
• Usually given intravenously in hospitals under the supervision of a doctor
• Dosage depends on infection severity, kidney function, and patient’s clinical condition
• Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, injection-site irritation, headache, or low blood counts
