Terbinadoc M Cream 10g is a highly effective antifungal and anti-inflammatory cream. It is specifically formulated with Mometasone 0.1% w/w+Terbinafine 1% w/w, a powerful combination designed to treat various fungal skin infections while simultaneously reducing associated symptoms like redness, itching, and swelling. This makes Terbinadoc M Cream 10g an excellent choice for managing common fungal infections.

Type: Antifungal & anti-inflammatory cream
Contains:

  • Terbinafine 1% – an antifungal agent that effectively stops the growth of fungi responsible for skin infections.
  • Mometasone 0.1% – a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching associated with skin conditions.

Uses of Terbinadoc M Cream 10g:

  • Treats various fungal infections including ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).
  • Provides relief from symptoms such as itching, redness, inflammation, and skin irritation often accompanying these infections.

How to Use Terbinadoc M Cream 10g:

  • Always clean and thoroughly dry the affected skin area before applying the cream.
  • Apply a thin layer of Terbinadoc M Cream 10g to the affected area, gently rubbing it in.
  • Use once or twice daily, or as advised by your doctor.
  • Do not cover the treated area with bandages or airtight dressings unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after each application to prevent the spread of infection.

Side Effects (rare):

  • You might experience mild burning, stinging, or itching at the application site.
  • Prolonged or inappropriate use, especially of the Mometasone component, can lead to side effects like skin thinning, changes in skin color, or stretch marks.
  • If any side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Precautions for Terbinadoc M Cream 10g:

  • For external use on the skin only.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, and broken or wounded skin. Rinse immediately with water if accidental contact occurs.
  • Do not use Terbinadoc M Cream 10g for longer than prescribed by your doctor, especially on sensitive areas like the face or in skin folds.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children, should use this cream only under strict medical supervision and if clearly necessary.

Storage:

  • Store Terbinadoc M Cream 10g in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep this medication out of sight and reach of children and pets.

Note: Always use Terbinadoc M Cream 10g exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not self-medicate or extend the treatment duration without professional advice.

Uses:

  1. Ringworm (Tinea Corporis): Treating the characteristic red, scaly, itchy, and circular rash on the body.
  2. Jock Itch (Tinea Cruris): Relieving the itching, burning, and scaling in the groin area, inner thighs, and buttocks.
  3. Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis): Addressing fungal infections between the toes, on the soles, or sides of the feet, which often manifest as itching, burning, scaling, and cracking.
  4. Other Inflammatory Fungal Dermatoses: It can also be used for other skin conditions where both fungal infection and inflammation are present, as diagnosed by a healthcare professional.

Directions of Use

To effectively use Terbinadoc M Cream 10g for your fungal infection:

  • First, thoroughly clean the affected skin area with mild soap and water, then gently pat it completely dry.
  • Apply a thin layer of Terbinadoc M Cream 10g to the entire affected area and a small portion of the surrounding healthy skin.
  • Gently rub the cream into your skin until it is evenly distributed.
  • Typically, this cream is applied once or twice daily, but always follow the exact dosage and frequency prescribed by your doctor.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly immediately after applying the cream to prevent spreading the infection to other parts of your body or to other people.
  • Do not cover the treated area with occlusive bandages or tight clothing unless specifically advised by your doctor, as this can increase absorption and potential side effects.

Continue using Terbinadoc M Cream 10g for the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve before the course is finished, to ensure complete eradication of the fungal infection.

Side effects

While Terbinadoc M Cream 10g is generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience side effects. These are usually mild and temporary, but it's important to be aware of them. The active ingredients, Mometasone 0.1% w/w+Terbinafine 1% w/w, contribute to these potential effects.

  • Common Side Effects (usually mild):
    • Burning or stinging sensation at the application site.
    • Itching or irritation of the skin.
    • Dryness or flaking of the skin.
    • Mild redness.
  • Less Common but More Serious Side Effects (with prolonged or inappropriate use):
    • Skin thinning (atrophy), which can make skin fragile.
    • Stretch marks (striae), especially in skin folds.
    • Changes in skin color (lightening or darkening).
    • Increased hair growth in the treated area.
    • Acne-like breakouts.
    • Allergic reactions such as rash, severe itching, or swelling (though rare).

If you notice any severe, persistent, or unusual side effects, or if your condition worsens, stop using Terbinadoc M Cream 10g and consult your doctor immediately. Avoid using this cream for longer than the prescribed period to minimize the risk of corticosteroid-related side effects.
