Tinilact 3 Softgel Vaginal Suppositories are a combination medication used to treat various vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis (yeast infections), and trichomoniasis.
Composition:
Each suppository contains:
- Clindamycin (100 mg): An antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, effectively stopping bacterial growth.
- Clotrimazole (200 mg): An antifungal agent that disrupts the cell membrane of fungi, leading to their elimination.
- Tinidazole (100 mg): An antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that damages the DNA of certain microorganisms, preventing their replication.
Uses:
Tinilact 3 Softgels are indicated for the treatment of:
- Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): An overgrowth of certain bacteria in the vagina causing discharge, odor, and discomfort.
- Vaginal Candidiasis: A yeast infection leading to itching, discharge, and irritation.
- Trichomoniasis: A sexually transmitted infection caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis, resulting in itching, burning, and unusual discharge.
Dosage and Administration:
- Application: For vaginal use only. Wash and dry your hands and the affected area before application. Lie on your back with your knees bent, gently insert the suppository into the vagina using an applicator or finger, preferably at bedtime.
- Duration: Use as directed by your healthcare provider, typically once daily for three consecutive days.
Possible Side Effects:

- Vulvovaginal disorders: Discomfort or pain in the vaginal area.

- Medical Conditions: Inform your doctor of any existing medical conditions before using this medication.
