TLS 40 Tablet contains Telmisartan 40mg, an Angiotensin II receptor antagonist, used to manage essential hypertension (high blood pressure). This medicine helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure effectively.
Additionally, TLS 40 Tablet is prescribed to reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events like heart attack or stroke in adults. This includes individuals with a history of reduced blood flow to the heart or legs, those who have experienced a stroke, or patients with a high risk of diabetes.
Before and during treatment with TLS 40 Tablet, your doctor may monitor kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolyte levels (such as potassium) to ensure your safety and the medicine's effectiveness.
Important Safety Information: TLS 40 Tablet is not suitable for patients with severe liver problems, including cholestasis or biliary obstruction. Exercise caution if you have diabetes, kidney disease, certain heart problems, or elevated aldosterone levels. This medicine is not recommended during early pregnancy and must not be taken by women who are more than 3 months pregnant or by breastfeeding mothers. It is also not for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Elderly patients (65 years and above) should use it with caution as advised by their doctor. The most common side effect is low blood pressure. If side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor immediately.

Directions of Use

- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- You can take TLS 40 Tablet with or without food.
- It is usually taken once a day. Try to take your dose at the same time each day to help you remember.
- Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
- Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor.
Side effects
Like all medicines, TLS 40 Tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effect is low blood pressure (hypotension). If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, please consult your doctor.

- Signs of upper respiratory tract infection (such as sore throat, inflamed sinuses, common cold)
- Anemia, generalized weakness, feeling of spinning (vertigo)
- Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
- Slow heart rate, chest pain
- Dizziness upon standing up (orthostatic hypotension)
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Abdominal pain, abdominal discomfort, bloating
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Increased sweating
- Muscle cramps, muscle or back pain
